Laboratory medicine: Confirming diagnoses and supporting treatments

The German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine e.V. (DGKL) is the scientific association for laboratory medicine in Germany. As a member of the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM) and of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) the DGKL represents Germany in the field of laboratory medicine in Europe and worldwide. The society was formed in 2003 through the merger of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry (DGKC) and the German Society for Laboratory Medicine (DGLM) and currently has more than 1,100 members.
