The new MicroPlate Shaker (MPS-Z) from Kuhner is the reliable cultivation system for your automated bioprocess. Integrable into all common automated laboratory platforms, the system eliminates bottlenecks and accelerates the workflow in the laboratory. The MPS-Z incubator shaker possess a high-precision control of all essential cultivation parameters such as temperature, humidity, shaking speed, and CO₂, and operates up to 16 standard microtiter and deep-well plates. The transfer platform with barcode reader at the right side of the MPS-Z allows for the seamless integration into a liquid handling or automation platform. The self-developed SCARA system, the Kuhner Hawk, enables fluid process workflows with short access times. Ready for the future: the MPS-Z works with two communication protocols, the state-of-the-art protocol TCP/IP and the new standard for lab automation, the protocol SiLA 2 (HTTP/2). The direct magnetic drive of the shaking table allows easy and fast changes of the shaking diameter (3 mm, 6 mm, 12.5 mm, 25 mm, 50 mm). The MPS-Z is compatible with the Duetz System, an integrated, easy-to-use, and cost-effective technology platform for the rapid handling and growth of large numbers of microbial strains, clonal libraries, and mutant banks in 24- or 96-well microtiter plates.
