The Rauschert group is a globally leading producer of technical ceramics, plastic components and functional components. Rauschert was founded in 1898, engages about 1400 employees and is independent, with no ownership stake by any other company.
Rauschert products are used amongst others in medical engineering and in analyzers. One example are porous ceramic diaphragms as part of many sensors in laboratory and process industry which can be produced custom-made. Another example are ceramic high temperature heaters used for hot air generation, as igniter or in the area of chemical analysis. During the “Exo-Mars Rover” mission the heater evaporates organic elements by heating soil samples up to 1000°C for analysis purposes to find traces of former life on mars.
