The Bioanalytics and Bioprocesses branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology IZI-BB focuses its research on developments in the fields of food and environmental analysis, diagnostics, drug development and process engineering.

We combine engineering expertise with biomedical and chemical know-how in the fields of sensor technology, biotechnological production processes, automation and nano- and microsystems technology. Our research and development services are aimed at biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies that require both components and integrated solutions within their product development along the value chain.
